It is with pleasure that I can inform all DNAA archers that Jessica James (Cleadon Archers) has been selected to represent GB in Turkey in October and at the Euronations. Jessica took part in a junior shoot-off at Lilleshall on Saturday 21st June where the weather was not the finest for archery and was placed overall third.
It must be mentioned that the juniors, both Jessica and Zoe have contibuted to the welfare of the county either by representation at the recent 'Pentangle' shoot or by this amazing achievement.

The entry forms for Kirknewton have been replaced as the shoot is a 'double' and the forms were made as if it was a 'single'. The new forms are posted on the site and accessed from this page.

COACHING: Four level 1 candidates are close to assessment. A level 2 course is to be registered and this should be scheduled for an October start.

RECORDS: A 'Roll of Honour' of past record holders is to be compiled over the coming months. Barebow and Clout records are to be introduced.

JUNIORS: Zoe Coggins and Chris Todd represented Northern Counties at the recent 'Inter Regional Shoot' in Wetherby. Our congratulations go to both after excellent performances.

INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: A full report is to be given in the next meeting but more county archers participated this year (2008) than last year.

On a more distressing note, some complaints had been made against the behaviour of a minority of juniors at shoots within the county, even from a number of archers from outside our boundaries. It has been decided that if disturbance risks the safety of the other particpants or behaviour is deemed unacceptable or offensive then those juniors responsible may be disqualified from the remainder of the shoot.
