The Morpeth 'Late Summer Shoot' scheduled for August 31st has, unfortunately, been cancelled due to limited entry, however, the Longbow shoot will still be taking place on the Saturday.
The N.C.A.S. FITA Star, hosted by Killingworth Archers, actually was blessed with two fine days. Although underfoot conditions were unpleasant the shoot completed after a rainless week-end. The results will be available in due course on this web site.

Due to continual rain in the previous week and overnight rain on Saturday 16th which had turned the field into a jelly, the Killingworth Open has had to be cancelled for the second year running. We can only hope that the weather improves for the FITA Star which is scheduled for this venue next week-end?
We have also heard from the Newton Aycliffe Club have been informed that the football club has been accepted into a league structure and as a result the use of the ground for DNAA clout competitions is at risk. The competition this year should be OK but at present we have no confirmed details. To close, the web addresss for 'Priory' has been entered onto the 'clubs list'.

The coming week-end will be the Annual Open for Killingworth Archers, followed by the FITA Star on the Bank Holiday week-end. This year Morpeth are holding a 'late sumer' weekend with the Longbow shoot and a Rose status shoot. Target shoots after this will be the Tees-side Champs and the Tyne-Tees shoot. We also have the county Field shoot and Clouts to come, then, it's back to the dry indoors.

The results list from the blazingly hot Kirknewton FITA clout have now been posted on the site and are available from the side selections. My congratulations go to the club who have shown great enthusiasm in providing the county archers with the opportunity in shooting the FITA version of clout, and to Neil Endicott who returned a second results list with the correct competition date! Thus avoiding a severe case of dejavu!
