County Record Claims

How to claim a DNAA County Record

1. The score must be completed, signed and countersigned as correct, as part of an OPEN tournament.

2. The Tournament Results should be legible and clearly show:
The date of the tournament,
The division the archer(s) is/are shooting in (i.e. Lady Compound etc),
The round(s) shot,
The home club of the archer in question
and in the case of juniors – It should clearly state that they are juniors and ideally separate the sexes.

3. The only exception to rule 1 will be at closed county or invitational events such as the 3 and 5 cornered team matches or the UK Masters. Essentially, most events that are larger than a club championship would suffice for a DNAA record.

4. If the tournament is held within the boundaries of Durham and Northumberland and is hosted by a DNAA-affiliated club the record will be awarded automatically by the DNAA records officer upon receipt of the results sheet from the tournament organiser.

5. If the new record is shot outside of DNAA then the archer is responsible in obtaining a copy of the tournament result sheet and sending it to the DNAA Records Officer as part of the claim.

6. The score must exceed the existing record published on the DNAA website or on the latest dated paper copy of the records.

7. The record will be awarded and published on the DNAA website during the early stages of the following season i.e. if you shot the new record in the outdoors of 2003 then the updated county records should be online sometime early in the 2003/4 indoors season.

8. If your new record has not been assigned then please inform the DNAA Records Officer. If you claim and liaise through the county web site email address you should receive a 'confirmation of receipt' for your record claim.
